A GPS tracker for assets is a device used to monitor and track the location of valuable items, equipment, or vehicles in real-time. These trackers typically use Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to pinpoint the exact location of the asset and transmit the location data and other information to a centralized system, that allows users to view the location details on Google map.

GPS tracker GPT45 is configured with PSM command to send location data according to motion sensor detection. 
PSM,[MODE]#
[MODE]: 
0: Disable PSM. Scheduled wake-up according to XLIFE command. Can not wake up by status change or by SMS. 
1: Send real time location data when tracker moves. Go to sleep when it is static. Scheduled wake-up according to XLIFE command when tracker sleeps.
2: Send 1pc location data when device status changes (from move to stop or stop to move), then go to sleep. Scheduled wake-up according to XLIFE command when tracker sleeps.
3: Just wake up by SMS. Can not wake up by status change. 
 

GPT45 also can be set with XLIFE commands,

 t_periodic: device sleeping time

 t_waking: device working time 

For example,

Means tracker sends 1pc location data every 1440 minutes(a day).

Means tracker sends location data every 60 seconds when tracker moves. Tracker sends 1pc location data every 60 minutes when it is static.

How to track car location by GPS Tracker,

Send command "position#" by sms, device will reply the recent address of device. 
Send command "url#" by sms, device will reply the Google URL of device. 
Send command "where#" by sms, device will reply the coodinate of device.

Visit EELINK Tracking platform on PC, get location on Google map.
Keelin APP also show device address on Google map.
 

Operation principles

The in-built GPS module and telecommunication module works together. MCU handle the multiple data from GPS module, then transmit locations data and other data to Keelin server. GPS precise positioning with AGPS and feedback position to the platform via GPRS at setting times(e.g. every 30s).It shows the precise position of the device on the map of platform.  SIM card MUST open GPRS and SMS function.
